Documentary contest seeks entries from the Middle East

Arab filmmakers, or filmmakers whose work focuses on Arab subject matters, can participate in this contest.

The Ismailia Documentary Co-production Platform invites submissions from filmmakers from all over the world who have a project with "an Arab connection." This can include the director, producer, co-producer, main talent, location or subject matter.
Filmmakers are encouraged to submit feature-length creative documentaries either at the development or post-production phase. An international jury will select approximately eight to 10 projects in development and two to four works-in-progress. The project’s representatives will be invited to come to Ismailia for three days to meet Egyptian producers, distributors and international producers.
Three different prizes will be distributed: the development prize of US$5,000, the post-production prize worth up to US$15,000, and the human rights prize.
Applicants can send inquiries to programmerATismailiafilmfest.com.
The deadline is April 1.
