The Blank Residency, Italy

The purpose of the project is to give hospitality to Italian and international artists for a short/medium period and offer them accommodation and relations aimed to develop artistic researches both practical and theoretical. The residency is conceived of meeting and work place where share ideas and experiences.
The artists in residence will be asked to work on a project proposal which will be develop during their staying and to share it with The Blank.  The project proposal will be presented at the conclusion of the residency during the Open Studio day.
At the beginning of the residency artists will introduce themselves to the community with an informal presentation of their previous activities and works. The residency period concludes with an Open Studios day and the presentation of the project proposal developed during their staying.
We are particularly interested in artists engaging the local community and/or working with the socio-cultural characteristics of the city and its territory.
A maximum of 2 artists will be selected among the applicants who will share accommodation, studio, kitchen and bathroom.

Eligibility
The program is open to individual artists at any stage of their career, working in visual arts, photography, film & video, media arts, performing arts, music.

Accommodation (bedroom and fully furnished kitchen), studio space and internet wifi
Paid by Artist
Residents are responsible for their travel, working materials, food and personal expenses during the residency.
