National Museums Scotland Seeks Curator

  • We are looking for a creative and highly motivated person with leadership qualities and excellent content development and project management skills to join the Public Programmes Directorate.
     


    As Content Manager you will be responsible for the development and delivery of ten exhibitions through to installation and completion. You will be responsible for upholding the high quality of design work and co-ordinating information flow with the external consultancy team to ensure effective internal communication and liaison, resulting in a ‘single vision’ approach to gallery content. You will work with a range of both internal and external stakeholders, delivering the project in accordance with the programme and budgets.
    You will have excellent communication skills and be experienced in effectively managing large projects. You will enjoy working to find solutions in a busy and highly paced environment and you will be able to provide high level advice and support to the Project Development Group and Project Director. In addition you will have proven experience in exhibition tendering and procurement procedures and of managing significant budgets.   You will hold a degree or a relevant qualification and have a track record of working in large, complex content development projects in museums or heritage attractions.
