Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, is pleased to announce the 2015 Juried Visual Art Exhibition.

The Juried Visual Art Exhibition showcases exceptional new art and is one of the pillars for the historic Festival’s high-quality visual arts offerings. The exhibition is hosted inside the Trust Arts Education Center (James E. Rohr Building) at 805-807 Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh’s award-winning Cultural District during the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, June 5 – 14, 2015.

The conceptual framework for the 2015 Festival is UNSEEN / UNHEARD. Artists who have never exhibited or performed before at the Festival are encouraged to apply. Additionally, artwork that explores unheard narratives or brings into visibility individuals, cultures or social issues will be taken into consideration. Art installations dealing with visual and auditory senses are also encouraged.

The goal of the exhibition is to showcase exceptional work in a variety of media by artists in various stages of their career. All works are juried by Pittsburgh-based artists and curators. Decisions are based on aesthetic quality as determined by the jury through an anonymous jury process. Additional consideration will be given to submissions that resonate with this year’s framework. Recent jurors include:

- John Carson, Regina Gouger Miller Department Head, School of Art, Carnegie Mellon University

- Nicholas Chambers, The Milton Fine Curator of Art, The Andy Warhol Museum

- Rachel Delphia, The Alan G. and Jane A. Lehman Curator of Decorative Arts and Design, Carnegie Museum of Art
