Marlani Gallery, Request for Proposals, University of Northern Colorado, 2015-2016 season

The Mariani Gallery at the University of Northern Colorado is currently seeking exhibition proposals for the 2015 - 2016 academic year.  Proposals may be for a solo exhibition or a group show of no more than 3 artists, in any mediums.

Proposals may be kept for future consideration in the 2016 - 2017 season.

The Mariani Gallery is located in Guggenheim Hall on the University of Northern Colorado campus. It is a 1200 square foot space with 97 lineal feet of wall.  The gallery presents exhibitions that inform, enrich and expand the lives of students, faculty, staff and the community.  Exhibitions have showcased the creations of internationally recognized artists, as well as the work of regional and local artists.

Submission:  interested artists are required to submit the following for consideration:

• Artist(s) / Exhibition Statement
• Resume and artists's website, if available
• Work Samples - a maximum of ten (10) digital images of recent work, preferably work that is similar to or indicative of the pieces that you propose.  Include an identification of each image including title of work, medium, dimensions or duration, and date
• Artwork Proposal:  A written proposal (maximium of 2 pages ) detailing the work that you wish to be considered.  This should include: A desciption of the work that will be produced, number of total pieces, sizes and theme.  All accepted work must be professionally prepared for display. Please indicate how the work will be presented.

Selection: all proposals will be reviewed by a jury panel.  Applicants will be notified of acceptance by March 6, 2015. Proposals may be kept for future consideration in the 2016 - 2017 academic year.
