Indiana Bicentennial Medal: Call to Artists

Indiana will celebrate its 200th anniversary of statehood in 2016. To honor this historic anniversary, the State will release a commemorative collector medal. The Indiana Bicentennial Commission, assisted by the staff of the Indiana Arts Commission, seeks an artist to create the obverse design (heads) for the Indiana Bicentennial commemorative medal. The work will be reflective of Indiana’s 200 years of history. The State Seal will be represented on the reverse of the medal.

ARTIST AWARD AMOUNT: $5,000
The winning artist will receive a $5,000 cash award for their design. The artist must agree to provide any follow-up medal design needs to assure the highest quality minted medal possible. The winning design, including copyright, becomes property of the State of Indiana.
